"It is my firm belief that it is a mistake to hold any firm beliefs." My personal philosophy centers on keeping an open mind and remaining adaptable, ready to explore new possibilities. I believe that rigidity in thought and life can lead to stagnation, and embracing flexibility allows for growth and resilience. My goal is to help clients learn to be adaptable and open to change, especially when faced with life's challenges. Clients have described me as grounding, knowledgeable, and kind. I practice therapy from a place of acceptance, offering a safe space where authentic curiosity and respect for each person’s unique experience take center stage. In our work together, you may be lovingly challenged to shift perspectives, grow emotionally, and take meaningful steps toward your personal goals. I feel truly honored to accompany others on their journey of self-awareness and transformation. There's nothing more rewarding than seeing a client have that "Ah-ha!" moment of insight and growth. I offer a person-centered, collaborative approach, meeting you exactly where you are in your journey. This ensures that our sessions are tailored to your unique needs and experiences, creating a compassionate, non-judgmental space for healing and growth. I specialize in working with youth, adolescents, and their families. Watching a young person explore the world around them and navigate the complexities of their own identity is a privilege. Instead of providing all the answers, I strive to ask the right questions that help them develop a strong sense of self, confidence, and emotional resilience. Born and raised in the Midwest, I’ve found my home in the stunning Pacific Northwest, where the mountains, oceans, and rainforests provide endless inspiration. Outside of therapy, I’m a musician who loves playing bass and guitar, as well as soaking in live music from a variety of genres. As a passionate animal lover, my three dogs might make an occasional cameo during our sessions. I’m also a fan of comedy, and I believe humor can be a powerful tool. Rooted in Midwestern sensibility but embracing progressive values, I remain deeply curious and eager to learn about the hopes, dreams, fears, and challenges of my fellow humans. I look forward to the possibility of walking alongside you on your therapeutic journey.
